Welcome! Painting a cast iron door knocker.

I like picking up inexpensive new pieces,
and making them look old…….
This cast iron doorknocker was $5.
I base coated everything in
Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Old White.
Next, I "hit" the raised areas with Paris Grey.
Then I used Graphite on the letters to make them pop.
Since they are raised, you just lightly brush over them.
This is not intricate painting..very easy.
After drying, I waxed with clear wax,
and then added dark wax to all the crevices.
Doesn't it look nice and crusty now??

Knock Knock!
