How to fix those plastic adirondack-style chairs

 Have any of these chairs?
They're great!
Stackable…
Lightweight...
However, the backs are prone to breaking.
My mom has three, and they are all broken...
 Like this……….
But I figured out a way to fix these suckers...
I just happened to have a piece of this vinyl lattice…
So I marked cut lines...
And trimmed it out with my jig saw.
 After sanding the edges,
I painted in a similar color to the chair.
Next, I drilled holes through the chair and the lattice...
 Inserted bolts…….
…with nuts on the back to secure.
Perfectly functional again.
 On to the next one…….

Why throw away when you can reuse?
They'll be good for a couple more seasons anyway.
