Bigger than a breadbox? Springtime in a Can!

I bought this plant stand/shelving last week
at Rockfish Gap Country Store….
It had no top,
but right beside it in the booth was an old breadbox,
and it fit atop perfectly.
I thought it would be cool to marry the two pieces.
The stand was originally a deep forest green
and the breadbox, off white.
Here it is after a little dry brushing
with Annie Sloan chalk paint in Old White.
 I continued the dry brushing
with Antibes Green and Country Grey
to build up a similar finish on the two pieces...
I drilled holes in the bottom of the breadbox,
threaded washers onto screws
and screwed into the top posts of the plant stand.
Next, I decided to try this product. (Thanks, Frances!)
Everything Glaze in "Sunshine DayDream" and it is!
I love how it perks everything up!!
Wow, like springtime in a can!
I added some stenciled letters….
waxed...
and it makes a great little potting stand/flower holder.
For sale in my booth at
$52
