SheShe TRASH Reinventions

Those of you who know me personally
probably know my SUV was stolen early yesterday morning,
from right out in front of my house!
I'm still in shock...
and in limbo with no wheels....

So while I'm standing by
to see if my car is ever found...
and since I can't really go out there to find any,
at least I can write about some of my past trash finds!
These are pieces I have literally found
IN THE TRASH
IN THE ALLEYS
THROW AWAYS
YARD SALE LEFTOVERS

Yep, literally T R A S H.
So without further ado.................
take a look at these before and afters!!!!

I have found...
Wicker chairs...

I made this dilapidated one...
Into a little girl's "princess chair."
Love the little "fairy doll" embellishments.

Wood chairs...
This antique rocker was missing it's rockers...
but it's still functional.
Perfect in a bathroom to hold towels!
These were totally shot..
But I still found a way to use them!

A frilly upholstered bench
Upholstered chairs!

Upholstered bench
Dressers....

End tables....

Desks....

Nightstands...

I took this little nightstand and added some old shutter slats
...to the back.
Distress painted...

Children's table and chair sets...
This disgusting set...
Just needed some serious cleaning,
and a little inventive painting.
Perfect little retro table/chair set!

Kitchen Islands.

This one had an old door for the top.
I removed it, added some old reclaimed fencing boards...
Painted the base, and it's the perfect rolling island or bar table.

Coffee Tables.
Then I took that door, stripped it,
and added some old baby carriage wheels
to make an industrial coffee table.
This was some art project gone awry....
I turned it into an urban contempo coffee table on casters.
Painted and added galvanized pulls.
Then stained/sealed the funky top.

Dining tables...
I found this pedestal base...
And attached it to a yard sale table top for the perfect piece!

Cabinets...

Even armoires!
(Thank goodness this was in two pieces,
or I could never have moved it myself...)

I've found beds...
This was one in perfect condition,
just as I found it.
And I used these thrown away pieces
to make this cottagey headboard.

Even little things can be reinvented....
like these jars....

Or a lamp...

These trashed shutters....

were married with this console...

To create a unique liquor cabinet, bar, whatever...
The shutter "doors" open and inside,
there's a winerack and plenty of surface area.
I used a shower curtain to cover.
And lastly, I turned this bookcase into a liquor cabinet.
I painted,
then used sawed up reclaimed wood pieces for the
inside back...
 and added a wine rack.
Cheers!

See you in the alleys!
Hopefully, soon, with my car.
Fingers crossed!
