SheShe's latest Chair/Ottoman Reupholstery Project

Sometimes a client will have a favorite chair that they can't part with...
Like this one:
Sarah wanted to keep this chair and ottoman combo,
but it desperately needs a makeover!
She had seen some of my upholstery in my booth at
Vignettes/Westhampton.
I don't normally do pieces like this because they are
very, very time consuming......and H A R D.
But I had a void in my schedule,
so I decided to tackle them.
Decontruction in progress...
I have to remove all the layers of materials.........
'
I'm taking the fabric pieces off and using them
to make templates..
This is especially important when you have to match
designs, like in the case of these fabrics.....
The fabrics came from my favorite fabric store,
UFab.
I'm using this Moroccan print for the fronts...
The work is slow and meticulous......
 But I'm getting there....
I'm using another fabric for the back and sides.....
And for the reverse sides of the cushions.......
What a magilla but the chair is done!
 Next up, the ottoman....
Sometimes the pieces that look the easiest...
are the trickiest.
But I finally finished it this morning.
 Here's the ensemble...
Side view.
And when Sarah wants a little change of pace....
...she can flip the cushions for a different look....
Loaded up for delivery.
